Ohio State Route 207 connects Mount Sterling and the Chillicothe area. It runs where central area meets southern Ohio. The northern end in Mount Sterling is at Ohio Route 56, and the route begins by heading southwesterly along US Route 62 and Ohio Route 3. After a few blocks, the triplicate becomes a duplicate, and Ohio Route 207 splits from US Route 62 and Ohio Route 3 to head due south. Near Deer Creek Lake, Ohio Route 207 begins to bend southwesterly, as it takes aim at the Chillicothe area. Ohio Route 207 never reaches Chillicothe, however, as it bends easterly to US Route 23 and Ohio Route 159. The junction with Ohio Route 159 is where Ohio Route 207 ends.
