Ohio State Route 323 is a short route across the southern part of Madison County, in southwestern portions of central Ohio. It runs from South Solon, in the west, to Mount Sterling, in the east. It maintains a pretty consistent eastward course for its entire length. The western end in South Solon is at Ohio Route 41. Midway through its nineteen-mile easterly path, Ohio Route 323 passes through the town of Midway. Beyond Midway, Ohio Route 323 crosses over Interstate 71, and it ends in Mount Sterling at Ohio Route 56.
My photo of Ohio Route 323 signage comes from the eastern end at Ohio Route 56 in Mount Sterling. This sign faces northbound travelers on Ohio Route 56, and it helps them find the left turn onto the eastern beginning of Ohio Route 323. Note that Ohio Route 56 is leaving town toward the north at this point; this photo was taken on the north edge of Mount Sterling. This photo was taken in February 2017, on a detour from Columbus toward Cincinnati before driving home to Chicagoland. Back to Ohio Routes 300-499. Back to the Ohio main page. Back to the home page.
