Ohio State Route 768 is a tiny north-south route on the east side of Mount Vernon, Ohio. The route follows Vernonview Drive for not even two miles. The northern end is along a piece of Ohio Route 3 that is extending northeasterly out of Mount Vernon. The southern end is along US Route 36 in an eastern commercial arm of Mount Vernon's corporation limits. The main purpose of Ohio Route 768 appears to be service to the Mount Vernon Development Center, which looks to be a publicly-funded nursing home.
My photo for Ohio Route 768 signage comes from the portion of US Route 36 that intersects the state highway, on the east side of Mount Vernon. The signage depicted is a junction marker for eastbound travelers on US Route 36; I was standing just west of the intersection looking east when I took the photo shown here. This photo was taken in October 2022, as I was getting started on a comprehensive tour all around the northeastern quarter of Ohio (from Columbus).
